This morning, hitz.fm asked the listeners what movie would you pay 'not to go watch'
Mine, obviously would be Twilight. For further elaboration, check out
my previous entry.
Some people I know would not go watch Malaysian films as they feel it's a waste of time. However, I refuse to believe so. I have to admit some are not-worth watching. But there are many good ones too and I think the Malaysian film industry has improved over the years. We may need to give a little more time for it to be up to par. For the time being, we need to keep our faith in Malaysian producers, encourage them to produce more good films and give them a chance to prove themselves. :)
Even the graphics, animation technology and etc. have also improved. If you've watched 'Pengembaraan Upih & Ipin', you would know what I'm talking about. I am proud and amused at the quality of the animation and hope this will continue. :)

Recently, I went to watch 'Setem'.

The movie was quite a fun watch although it may not be as hilarious as 'Los dan Faun'

but it's worth watching for anyone who needs a light show.
One of my favourites would be Sumolah! I think the show is inspiring and delivered a good message.
I can't wait to watch Papadom!
P/S : I may appear as Afdlin Shauki's films fan, but I do watch other Malay movies too, like Remp-it, Cinta Luar Biasa, Cicakman, Gubra, Buai Laju-laju, etc. And yea, I watched all of them in the cinemas. Give it a chance and see how it turns out, it may not be as bad as you might think! ;)
